The Prescott Foundation
The Prescott Foundation was established in 2019 by former U.S. Navy nuclear engineer David Prescott with the mission to preserve and maintain the heritage and history of World War II aircraft while also giving back to the community. Mr. Prescott’s passion for aviation was sparked as a young boy in Iowa, where he built model airplanes as a hobby. Today, he is an owner, operator, and pilot of both vintage and modern aircraft. The Prescott Foundation is a champion of living history, making efforts to repair and restore vintage aircraft for the education and enjoyment of generations to come.
Giving Back to the Community
Giving back to the local community is a critical piece of the Prescott Foundation’s mission. The organization is a close partner of Toys for Tots and has assisted the program with the setup of a massive warehouse for Capital Region donations. Additionally, the Foundation flew a delivery of toys to Hawaii in 2020 with the B-25 Old Glory, when COVID restrictions made it difficult for locals to source and donate toys. We accept toy donations annually and also host Make-a-Wish of Northern New York events in our hangar.
