The Hangar 743 is happy to host private events like weddings and also provide a unique backdrop to events that support the Prescott Foundation mission. Our museum also welcomes small group tours by appointment year-round.
Night on the Tarmac Gala

As for charity events at Hangar 743 in Latham, NY, every year, the stunning Night on the Tarmac Gala fundraiser gives attendees an excuse to dress to the nines while indulging in music, high-end catering, and a silent auction under the stars. Past years have seen Major Heather “Lucky” Penney, the fighter pilot scrambled to down United Airlines Flight 93 on 9/11, as a guest speaker as well as live music. 2024’s event is Fashion on the Runway — click through to learn more!
Wings & Wheels
This summertime aviation event at Hangar 743 includes a family-friendly, aviation-themed car show and features local vendors, food, and other entertainment in addition to the aircraft collection, which is on full display. Wings & Wheels is different each year, but past years have featured visits from other warbirds, such as a P-51 Mustang, a WWII airborne demonstration team, and helicopter rides.
Other Events
As an event venue, The Hangar at 743 has also hosted several weddings, retirement parties, corporate events, a high school prom, and the Capital Region Living “Bestie” Awards.
