On Saturday, September 30, 2023, The Prescott Foundation will be hosting our third annual Night on the Tarmac Gala at the Hangar at 743. This gala, along with our other events throughout the year, gives us the opportunity to inform and inspire our community with the Prescott Foundation’’s mission.
The proceeds from this event are distributed to a number of causes that ultimately connect with our mission to preserve the very last of our country’s World War II airplanes and support our local veterans. With your support the Prescott Foundation can support the training of journeymen mechanics, introducing our next generation to warbird aircraft and providing them with experience to pass the FAA license exam for A&P mechanics. The
proceeds from this event also contribute to the complete restoration of our 1945 B-25 Mitchell Old Glory, which unfortunately had a forced landing in California in 2020. This aircraft is one of the last remaining B-25’s that saw combat in World War II, and is an extremely rare piece of flying history.
We support our local veterans by providing them with services that immensely improve their quality of life. The Foundation provides veterans with NAD+IV therapy, a treatment that significantly reduces the symptoms of depression and PTSD. To help fulfill the growing need for service dogs, the Prescott Foundation works closely with America’s VetDogs. The cost of raising and training one service dog is over $50,000.
Going beyond supporting the wellbeing of our veterans, the Prescott Foundation also helps reunite them with extremely sentimental, long-lost pieces of their past. Recently, the Foundation held a ceremony to celebrate the 216th birthday of the Marine Corps and presented three World War II Marines with their first set of Dress Blue uniforms. During wartime the pristine uniform was not standard issue, and at the time, these marines couldn’t
afford them. One recipient responded to the uniform saying, “When I leave this earth, now, I’ll be complete.”
We ask that you join us for a glamorous evening by becoming a sponsor of the 3rd annual Night on the Tarmac Gala. As a sponsor, you will receive early access to the event as well as access to our V.I.P. lounge on the tarmac at the Albany International Airport, mere yards from live commercial air traffic. Moreso, your business’ logo will be displayed during the event and included in our event programs.
Thank you in advance for supporting the Prescott Foundation and contributing to the preservation of history. Your sponsorship ensures that our Old Glory returns to the skies, and the next generation can gain the skills necessary to keep our aircraft flying, and our local veterans are well taken care of and honored for their service.
Please consider joining us for the gala, dress to impress with fringes and feathers as we turn the 2020’s into the roaring 20’s!
